Canola Variety Market Watch (annual) provides the canola seed industry with core market information with three waves of research in Canada and one wave in the United States (July/August). In Canada, Wave 1 (November/December) and Wave 2 (January/February) identify farmers' intentions about which canola technologies and varieties they will seed in the upcoming year. Wave 3 (July/August) measures what growers actually seeded (technologies used and varieties grown), selection criteria (for novel trait technologies and for varieties) and purchase location.
